Michael's Off The Wall album is listed as Platinum on the official BPI web-site, an award it achieved in December 1979. However, as a re-entry, it has been listed in Music Week magazine as 6 x Platinum - a far more realistic certification, given the album has reportedly sold around 2 million copies in the UK.
